SHAWN HIGBEE IN PERSON Motorized two-wheeled vehicles have been part of Shawn Higbee's life as early as the age of 7. The freedom and independence that motorcycles promise was everything that Shawn's personality was to become. As a youngster, off road mini bikes grabbed his attention, and never left him bored. At the pinnacle teenage years of freedom and independence, Shawn fell in love with fast street bikes. Subsconsciously, he was swayed toward the same model bike that Tom Cruise rode in the movie Top Gun. The next influence came from an uncle with a cool lifestyle and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. This opened Shawn's mind up to working for the HD of Jamestown dealership right out of high school. Althought, it wasn't his first desire, Shawn's ability to roll with the flow or accept fate allowed him to begin his road-racing career aboard a Harley-Davidson Sportster. In only a few short years, Shawn's motorcycle road racing quickly turned into a Professional career. In 1994, Shawn moved to CA and won the AMA HD Twinsports Championship for Bartels' Harley-Davidson
During the motorcycle racing off season, Shawn Higbee likes to take up other forms of racing. A few years ago, he started racing snowmobiles, and car road racing in SCCA and skip barber events. Motorcycle ice racing is also big in Wisconsin during the winter months. Outside of racing, he enjoys traveling and exploring new parts of the world.
