Deluxe

A lot of Harley owners started their riding days on a Softail® Deluxe. Reminiscent of a lucky older bike that received chrome upgrades from a loving owner, this cruiser always turns heads. Slim

The ideal blend of classic style and new technology, the Softail® Slim is both stripped-down and souped-up. 35 pounds lighter than last year's design, the new Softail has more power, a tighter lean angle, and redesigned suspension. The seat is a tuck-and-roll design, which places you "inside" the bike for more comfort, control, and makes you feel at one with the bike and the road ahead.
The Softail® Slim ships with a Milwaukee-Eight 107 cubic inch engine, cranking out an impressive 110 ft-lb of torque with every twist of your wrist. In addition to more power, this engine runs cooler than previous models, which lets your bike focus on more important matters - like the ride in front of you. The new frame also has 50% fewer component parts and 22% fewer welds, which, coupled with the solid-mount engine, amounts to an overall 34% more rigid chassis. Even the wiring around the handlebars has been cleaned up and minimized. With this design, Harley-Davidson really went for a straight-ahead, no-frills, plain-jane cruiser, again harking back to the days when the popular bikes were the owner-modified American bikes. They nailed it.
